User Acknowledgement — Modifications, Compliance & Liability

By registering for an account, purchasing, downloading, or installing any software, calibration file, or technical instructions ("Files") from ZenTune, you expressly acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Legal Compliance & Emissions

• Files provided by ZenTune may alter or disable emissions and safety systems (including, but not limited to, DPF, AdBlue, EGR, CAT systems and related monitors).

• These modifications may be illegal or restricted in certain countries, states, territories, or local jurisdictions. It is your sole responsibility to determine and comply with all applicable laws, regulations and vehicle registration requirements before using any File on a vehicle intended for on-road use.

• ZenTune provides Files for authorised uses only; any on-road use that contravenes local law is the sole responsibility of the user.

2. Warranty & Manufacturer Impact

• Modifying or rewriting an ECU/TCU/ACM may void the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty and may affect any extended warranties or service agreements.

• You accept that ZenTune is not responsible for any warranty denial by manufacturers, dealers, or third parties arising from use of our Files.

3. Risk, Testing & Safe Use

• You are solely responsible for proper installation, validation, testing and safe operation of any File applied to a vehicle. Files must be tested via appropriate methods (dyno testing, professional road testing, comprehensive datalogging) prior to prolonged or high-load use.

• ZenTune recommends that all Files be applied, validated, or overseen by a qualified mechanic or tuning technician. ZenTune may provide guidance, but final responsibility for safe operation rests with you and the installer.

4. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability

• Files and instructions are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZenTune disclaims all warranties, both express and implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

• ZenTune will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to vehicle damage, engine failure, loss of income, legal penalties, fines, towing, storage or repair costs, arising from the use or misuse of any Files or instructions.

5. Indemnity

• You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless ZenTune, its affiliates, employees and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of Files, any modifications you make to a vehicle, or your failure to comply with applicable laws or these Terms.

6. Files, Bricking & Data Loss

• You accept the risk that Files may fail to install correctly or may cause an ECU/TCU/ACM or related component to become inoperable ("bricked") or to require recovery. ZenTune is not responsible for loss of vehicle functionality, data, or service interruptions caused by the application of Files.

• Where recovery services are required, standard recovery and repair fees may apply.

7. Required Validation Data & Professional Use

• Some solutions require professional reads, datalogs, wideband logs, VINs, or hardware reads (EEPROM/FLASH). You must supply any requested read files and diagnostic logs required for support or further tuning.

• Files intended for professional or dealer use must only be used by competent technicians or calibrated by an authorised tuning professional.

8. User Confirmation (Registration Checkbox)

By checking the box and completing registration/purchase you confirm that you:

• Have read, understood and accepted this Acknowledgement;

• Are authorised to make modifications or receive Files for the vehicle(s) in question;

• Will comply with all applicable laws and vehicle regulations when using any Files; and

• Accept full responsibility for installation, testing, and consequences of using ZenTune Files.
